Some things should stay in the past...some things don’t...and sometimes, they get sequels. Those are the sort of facts of life that give us Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, the video game adaptation of which has now shipped for the Nintendo Wii and DS, according to Majesco. Set to open on December 23rd, The Squeakquel features not only the eponymous Chipmunks but also the new (well, to the film series, anyway) Chipettes, both of which you can play as while you try to keep rhythm in concerts the world over. In addition to two difficulties, the game will also feature a multiplayer mode that supports two or three players on the console and handheld, respectively. EDISON, N.J., Dec 01, 2009 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Celebrate the holidays with The Chipmunks and The Chipettes! Majesco Entertainment Company (Nasdaq: COOL), an innovative provider of video games for the mass market, Twentieth Century Fox Licensing & Merchandising (Fox Licensing) and Bagdasarian Productions, today announced that Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel for Wii and Nintendo DS is now available at retailers nationwide. Performers can also choose from a variety of gameplay modes including Multiplayer, that lets them compete against two friends on Wii or up to three friends on Nintendo DS, and Jukebox, where they can play their favorite unlocked songs while watching and singing along to music videos. Offering hours of fun for the entire family, Alvin and The Chipmunks: The Squeakquel lets fans of all ages boogie their way to the top this holiday season.
