Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo comes as something of a blast from the distant past for series fans – all the way back, in fact, to the very beginning of the original Dragon Ball series. We’re talking before super saiyans, the Androids, the World Tournament, visits from future relatives, training in heaven, the introduction of half the cast and the deaths of just about everyone in the series (including the halo spouting Goku himself). The game brings us back to a time where it was just about scatological humor and cheap jokes, when future cast jokes like Yamcha and Krillin actually seemed like challenges.
