Plenty of arcade classics could be arriving this year.
In an interview with IGN, SNK Playmore USA president Ben Herman confirmed that NeoGeo titles will begin arriving on the Nintendo Wii's Virtual Console service worldwide this summer.
Herman: We're aiming for a worldwide release, so that it's available for all regions at once. As far as the date, we're looking to start releasing games around mid-summer of this year.
That's not all Herman confirmed however. He also revealed that NeoGeo titles will be released at a price point slightly above SNES titles on the service, which currently retail for 800 Wii Points ($8). Herman also talked a bit about what the company's strategy will be for releasing titles for the service, indicating that the company would aim for "a flow" of a couple games every month, and that they'll be more than just the console's big franchises such as Metal Slug and King of Fighters.
