Nintendo revealed pricing and launch details for Wii Fit, the company's latest attempt to appeal to the masses. Beginning on the previously announced launch date of May 19th, Wii Fit with Wii Balance Board will retail for $89.99.
For you lucky New Yorkers, pre-ordering from the Nintendo World store in Rockefeller Plaza between April 18-20 will net the first 1,000 customers a limited edition Wii Fit t-shirt. While that alone may not seem like a big deal, the fact that the shirt will sport a reproduced autograph by none other than Shigeru Miyamoto himself should pry the $5 required out of a few more hands.
Wii Fit, of course, features over 40 activities designed to improve strength, balance, and overall fitness. The Wii Balance Board responds to player movements and weight, and several third-parties have already announced software that will also be compatible with the board (including Namco's We Ski). Through mid-February, Wii Fit had sold more than 1.4 million copies in Japan.
