LOS ANGELES, Calif., (June 2, 2009) - Leading video games publisher and developer NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., announced today that Dragon Ball®: Revenge of King Piccolo will be available in North America this Fall exclusively for Wii™. For the first time on a home console, fans of the series can relive the genesis of the Dragon Ball saga with Kid Goku as he travels the world delivering righteous martial arts justice on his road to self discovery.

Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo faithfully adapts the original storyline of the epic Dragon Ball saga with its unique comical charm and epic action adventure overtones. Taking place during the Red Ribbon encounters, players will assist Kid Goku as he journeys through his path of personal evolution battling beasts, bandits and martial arts masters. Kid Goku will meet and befriend life long comrades and overcome formidable evil miscreants, including Red Ribbon Army, Emperor Pilaf, and the venerable King Piccolo.

With a simple move of the Wii Remote™ and Nunchuk™, Goku can fire off intricate combos, initiate classic moves, and execute his signature Kamehameha ultimate attack with ease. Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo also incorporates pseudo RPG elements which enable Goku to earn money to purchase power-up items throughout the game. Featuring in-game collectables, a host of unlockable characters and modes as well as state of the art Wii, Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo will provide a thoroughly engaging and accurate portrayal of Kid Goku's early formidable martial arts years.  “Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo is the first home console videogame based on classic animated series in North America, giving players a renewed taste of the original campy action adventure series,” said Todd Thorson, director of marketing and public relations for NAMCO BANDAI Games America. “The game perfectly captures every nuance of what made the Dragon Ball story so engaging and successful.”

Dragon Ball: Revenge of Piccolo for Wii™ will be available this Fall 2009.
